Q4:This Spring, despite the economic situation, I am doing the following to help lift my spirits and those of people around me...
Share your thoughts and tips with others that may need help putting a little spring into their step. =]
- I am going to have a personal moment every day where I ignore all problems, close my eyes, breathe slowly and deeply, and relax my body.
- I am doing more volunteer work. It makes me feel like I'm doing something good for the community, especially when everyone is so down.
- Make a list of things you're thankful for at the end of each day... ESPECIALLY if you've had a rough day. It will instantly make you feel better!
- finding the good in every situation, it is a choice to be positive and I am going to give it my best. - Im thankful for all that I do have. My health and all my kids are healthy.
- working on several fundraising projects.
- Hit the beach! It's cheap entertainment and good for my soul.
- Help those less fortunate- work at a shelter, etc. You will appreciate what you have.
- It doesn't cost a thing to be kind to your fellow man / woman. If help is needed offer it cheerfully and follow thru with the task at hand, be it baby (adult) sitting so the care giver can take a break or be it just to take someone to lunch, brunch ..... Doesn't break the bank to pick up flowers and share them. And don't forget to tell your loved ones that you love them.
- I'm cleaning up and cleaning out and urging my friends to do the same and donating everything we can to benefit others.
- I contribute time, food and money to the homeless shelters. Helped make over 750 lunch bags for homeless at Easter. Thinking of others instead of yourself takes your mind off your own worries. Pray for others and God will provide for you also.
- I'm going to sit outside & enjoy a book or a glass of ice tea with soothing music
- I am going to visit my grandchildren and work on some fun projects with them.
- I'm always optimistic, every dark cloud has a silver lining, we just have to learn to see it.
- Keeping all my family and friends uplifted with special outings, dinners, and sports time.
- I am planning to add more color to my garden.
- I am keeping a positive thought in spite of the economy. I am making small purchases to cheer up others who have it worse than I. No matter how bad things are...someone has it worse.
- calling friends and family to let them know how special they are
- volunteering my time to local causes (pet rescue and shelter); being kinder to everyone I see
- Calling friends I haven't talked with for awhile.
- Give to less fortunate; made Easter Baskets with essentials rather than candy donated to Someone Cares soup kitchen.
- TREAT MYSELF AND OTHERS TO SPECIAL GIRLS DAY OUT
- Trying to think positively, not be so gloom and doom. Be appreciative of what I have. - I just adopted a puppy from The Humane Society!
- Entertaining at home more with family and friends. Taking more walks on the beach and being blessed for where I live and the people in my life.
- Calling or writing friends who may be suffering more than most in the economic downturn. - just keeping a "glass is always half full" approach to life.
- spending a lot of time with my family and in the garden. both are very therapeutic!
- This Spring be thankful for what you do have, and not what you don't. The little things, the flowers, the sun and breathing.

- taking more nature walks, 20 minutes of actually being out in the open boosts your memory power 20%!
- Donating to charity - Going Green! One Planet Baby!!
- enjoy the outdoors, plant a garden,
- In Springtime we naturally start feeling a sense of renewal..rebirth...rekindling. While this change may be all around us, our strength really comes from the changes within us, because of us, through us. Get with "your people," celebrate your positive potential, and spring forward from the changes you create together! - walking, going to the gym, visiting zoos, parks and outdoor places
- I am going to CHOOSE to be happy everyday!
- reminding myself of all we have to be thankful for, a place to live, a house and a new baby on the way!

We take for granted our surroundings - I mean, we LIVE where others vacation for goodness sakes! Let's ride the Ferry, kayak in the back bay, simply sit on the beach and watch the sunset, delight in God's countless blessings. Corny, I know. But that's me!
- Spend more time outside in the sunshine. Taking advantage of things that dont necessarily cost a lot
- going for walks, picnics on the beach, taking my nephews out for an ice cream, etc. I also plan to mediate and relax outside.

- and it's all free!
- Exercising more
- Sending cards to my friends via snail mail - because who doesn't love getting mail! Always brightens my day when I get a hand-written note from a friend.
- Exercise more and have friends over for dinner get togethers rather than going out to dinner.
